Pamela S. Nadell is the Patrick Clendenen Chair in Women’s and Gender History and director of Jewish studies at American University. Her books include Women Who Would Be Rabbis, a National Jewish Book Award finalist. She lives in North Bethesda, Maryland.

She is among the most talented authors of the twentieth and twentifirst centuries, a fact that shines through her incredible clarity and refreshing prose. Reading her work is both enlightening and fulfilling. Nadell includes a well of knowledge within this book, accessible to even the most unfamiliar reader. Would recommend to absolutely anyone!!!! You will not want to put it down.
